Playdate

Last week Kale got a little play date with Henry. Henry & Kale were the only two little ones & boys at daycare so I think they got to be pretty big buddies. Henry's dad is actually Jason's boss and had to run back to work for a little bit so Henry came over for a little while. It was cute because Kale got excited when Joe & Henry came in the door and the boys gave each other hugs and played well while they were together. It was almost Kale's bedtime and he started crashing and went to bed before Henry left, but I think he had a good time!

I thought these were a few cute pictures of both little boys :)
Getting out all the toys playing alongside each other
even sharing his toys

While we were watching them play Jason decided maybe Kale does need a little brother or sister....I told him good, because he is getting one :)

4-wheelin' fun

Last week was super hot, but we were still able to make it outside to try out daddy's new "toy".
Kale thought he was big stuff even though he had no idea what was going on :) Jason took him for a ride around the yard {several times} and he loved it
What a big kid...almost ready to drive it on his own

Lincoln County Fair

Just a few pictures from Lincoln County Fair this year. Jason, Kale & I headed to Troy Friday afternoon to help mom & dad finish getting a few of the sheep ready. We showed first thing {thank goodness} Saturday morning and were done showing our sheep by noon. We were all worn out and I think even Kyle is getting old :) After watching more of the show and eating lunch, we walked around and rode a few rides before helping load the sheep and heading back to Northeast MO for the night. Jason went to the derby at the Shelby County Fair and Kale & I stayed at my mom & dad's house and went to bed early!
Kale loved his 5 gallon bucket bath {back at the trailer} trying to drink the water
most of the pictures were blurry because he was bouncing up & down almost the whole time

I don't have any pictures of the actual show to post, but I did get some after the Southdown show.

Little Miss Macon County

Macon County Fair started off with a Little Miss pageant and we headed back to Missouri to watch our neice Allison. She did a great job- no stage fright at all and she did a great job during the opening pledge & song. We are so proud of her and glad we were able to make the trip back to watch her pageant debut :). After watching Allison we all went to Pizza Hut and got some great food!

Reciting the pledge Allison during her interview - she did great

waving to her mom {& everyone else} back up on stage with all of the contestants being introduced

Allison sharing her goody bag with Rhett & Kale

Suitcase Racing

Between unpacking & packing the last couple of weeks I left the suitcase out in the living room. Kale found the suitcase and I guess wanted to make sure he didn't get left behind. He opened it up and climbed inside. It was keeping him entertained so I let him play with it and then Jason decided he wanted in on the fun and they began "suitcase racing". They both were laughing and I had to videotape some of it, but I got a few pictures too. I know I have heard it before, but Jason & I keep wondering...really, why do we buy toys?!? :)

checking out whats inside its empty so I better fill it
Trying to fit completely inside

The warm up begins
some more warm up laps
stopping to pose for a picture
then things got serious
Jason made it more comfortable for Kale and they went up & down the hallway and around the living room
I guess it was relaxing :)
and I know Kale {& his daddy} had fun

Middletown Visit

A couple of weekends ago we made a trip to Middletown and got to visit with both sets of my grandparents. After eating lunch with Grandma Barb and Papa Tom we went outside to see the horses, cows, sheep, & chickens. Kale played hard and we had a great visit with Grandma & Grandpa. After our time there we headed to see Grandpa Tainter & Granny Dot. They don't live far away from each other, but Kale was exhausted and fell asleep on the way there. He didn't wake up when I carried him in and slept on the couch while we all visited. Before we left I tried to wake him up, but did not succeed so we didn't get any pictures with Granny Dot or Grandpa, but we still had a really good visit and I'll try to get some pictures next time!

Jason & Kale petting one of the horses. I can't remember her name though {Blue Jean Lady?} Papa Tom put the saddle on & Kale got to sit on her

Lewis County Fair

We had our first fair of the season a couple of weeks ago in Lewis County. The whole family was there {minus Kyle :( } It was a different without him, but somehow we survived and actually had a really good show.
Kale & Cooper hanging out- waiting for the show to start
Cheap entertainment...just give him a halter :)
Yay, dad made it to the show
Jessi & Andi with Heartbreaker
TJ & Andi {& Heartbreaker} ready for the PeeWee class
Cooper ready for the show
Kale...not so much, but he woke up in time
The little boys taking a break
Kale loves being outside so he had fun at the show. He looks pretty clean here, but he was filthy and totally wiped out and luckily slept almost the whole way home!

Summertime

Of course with summer comes fairtime! Kale had to try on his boots to practice walking in them and I wanted to make sure his shirt fit too so here he is trying on his show clothes!
what a cutie! with his belt {a little big}
whats up mom?

After lunch {and losing his shirt} we found his favorite show on tv....the Cattle Auction on of course RFDTV.
watching the feeder cattle sell
I think he could watch for hours
