MO Turkey

Rain is a good thing... It rained enough Thursday night/Friday morning that Jason was able to take some time off work and head back to Missouri for some turkey hunting. He didn't get back very early on Friday so didn't get to hunt much, but he had all day Saturday. But thankfully he didn't need it. He got a turkey right away and after showing it off a bit he headed home. Kale & I were both excited to see him! We took some pictures of Jason & Kale with his turkey when he got home and have spent the rest of the weekend just hanging out. It looks like we will have more time to hang out at night this week too since it rained yesterday & today!

Jason drove through rain most of the way back, the turkey was pretty wet and it was still raining at home so Kale didn't get to stay outside very long. Not that we typically let him play with dead animals :)

Spring Game

Last weekend Kale & I got to experience our first Spring game! Jason had to work, but we had a great time. Thanks to the Belts for letting us ride with them and hang out with them during the day. Hopefully we will make it to some games this fall!

Chase's Ballgame

Last week Kale & I headed back to Missouri on a Thursday night so we could see one of Chase's baseball games. We didn't stay for the whole JV game, but from what we saw Chase did great! And Kale loved the game. He watched the field, the boys in the dugout and whenever someone cheered he would stare at them!
Chase at bat- he got hit by this pitch.
I took the picture just a little too soon...if I would have only known :) Chase on third base, unfortunately he got stranded

Easter

Easter morning after Jason got back from the woods & we had breakfast Kale found his Easter basket the Easter bunny had left! He got a new sippy cup, hat, a few other things, and candy. It's too bad he can't eat all that candy....Jason & I have it covered though :).

After playing with his new stuff and getting ready we headed to Middletown. The first stop was at Grandma Barb's & Papa Tom's. Almost everyone was there and after a great lunch the kids hunted eggs and we pretty much spent the rest of the time hanging out outside since it was so nice. The Belts brought their wagon so Cooper & Kale got to spend a lot of time playing in there. Kale loved it when someone pulled them around, but also when it was just sitting still so I think we are going to have to get one soon! When we got home I realized most of my pictures were of Cooper & Kale in the wagon. One of these times I'm going to get some pictures of the rest of the chaos :)!

Later in the afternoon we headed to Granny Dot's & Grandpa Tainter's house. Kale fell asleep on the way & slept in the car for a while before getting up to play again. Once again we spent most of our time outside until we had to go inside so the eggs could be hidden and after the eggs to see what goodies were left for the kiddos. It was so nice we even ate supper out on the picnic table, well the "kids" did anyway. "Kids" includes Travis & Jessi :)! After more time in the wagon and hunting the eggs we headed home. Just in time too! Thank goodness we were headed east. The storm was in the path home for the rest of the family and they had to wait it out at grandma & grandpa's because of tornadoes that had been spotted.

We had a great time seeing everyone and were all worn out from the busy weekend. In fact 2 of us slept most of the way home!

Saturday night after Rhett's Birthday Party we headed to my mom & dad's for supper and had an egg hunt (in the dark) for the kids. I thought this picture of TJ in his pajamas getting ready to go home was too cute not to post :)

Happy Birthday Rhett

Saturday after Jason got home from work we left for Rhett's Birthday Party! It was his 2nd birthday with a Curious George theme. Since we got a late start we missed the opening of most of the gifts, but got to see the "big one" delivered. He got a tricycle! After gifts everyone enjoyed cake & ice cream. Megan made a super cute cake. I didn't get any good pictures though so you will have to check out her blog. We had lots of fun and Kale had a great time playing with everyone, especially Uncle Justin. Kale missed his afternoon nap because he was too busy on the drive home so we got to hang out until he started crashing. I think he was asleep before we even got backed out of the drive.

Good Friday

It is Good Friday and a great day! No work today so Kale & I have spent the day hanging out. We have been stuck inside most of the day because it is super windy so I took a few pictures when we got back inside from our short walk and thought I would post a couple.

Up next, naptime & packing for a weekend back in Missouri. Hope everyone has a Happy Easter! :)

One of Kale's favorite things is a little red block. He will drop almost anything he is doing to go get the block if we drop it on the floor. Last week I put the block on top of his truck, he grabbed it and then tossed it over the truck. Instead of going around to get it he climbed right over the truck. This has become his new "trick" so the other night when he started doing it again I took some pictures.
Dropping it on the other side of the truck
Reaching for it
Flipping over to get it
Then he decided to flip the truck over
I'm not sure who the winner was
