Happy Birthday Papa Ed!

Papa Ed's birthday was Sunday so we celebrated with supper and cake & ice cream that night!
 Happy Birthday!
(I'm blaming the bluriness on an almost dead battery and trying to take too many pictures at once!)

Pollard Family Vaca

We have had a bUsY & FuN summer so far and this past weekend was no exception as we headed to the Lake for a vacation with the whole Pollard clan. We drove down Saturday morning and our first stop was Miner Mike's.  After lunch we rode a few rides & played some games...

Chelsey, Allison, & Grandma Lola riding the roller coaster
Kale loved it and rode a second time with Chase
putting his hands up around the fast turn
the bumper cars were not quite what I had in mind, but I think Justin, & Jason had fun "helping" Kale & Rhett anyway
Kale's favorite thing was to ride the horses
 Lane liked them too {his shirt is semi wet from drooling, but he also was drinking water & spitting it out}
 all three little boys riding
notice Kale's leg- his horse kept "bucking" him

After Miner Mike's we headed back to the resort and went swimming.  I didn't get any pictures because it started raining after a while and we headed back to our room for Kale & Lane to take naps.  After naps we went out to supper.  Kale & I enjoyed our meal, but not everyone agreed that the food was good...okay nobody else liked it!  But we still had a good time Saturday night.
We rode go karts, bumper boats, and Chase & Jason even did the slick track.
some of us got a little wet!
Once we got back to the resort we headed back to the pool for the "dive-in" movie and got to watch Tangled while swimming/hanging out by the pool.  We didn't make it through the whole movie before we headed to our room for some sleep.
The next morning we packed up and got ready for another fun day!
We went miniature golfing at the resort before heading to the 54 Diner for brunch.  After eating, most of us headed to the Outlet Mall for a little shopping.  We made it to a few stores before heading home and the boys slept the whole way back so it was a pretty easy drive with only one stop for gas!
Jason decided Kale needed to take a golf etiquette class and I decided he probably isn't going to make it as a golfer :)
We had a good time playing though!

All of the grandkids after our round of mini golf.

We had a great time and it was awesome that everyone was able to make it!  I can't believe how fast this {every} summer has flown by.  It is already time for State Fair and school to start {not that school applies to us} and summer will soon be over!  It will be nice to slow down a bit and get a few things, besides the animals, {priorities, huh?} hung on our walls and oh yeah, the cooler weather will be nice too!
