New toy

Yesterday while Jason was gone to an auction I found a new toy for Kale. I think it has been his favorite so far. We played with it most of the afternoon pulling up on it and Kale even pushed it around the living room while "walking" behind it.
Last night we headed out to Guzzardo's (a restaurant in Lincoln) for my work Christmas party (yes, I know it is almost the end of February). The prime rib was huge and I don't think I even ate half of it. After dinner we went out with part of the group before picking Kale up. When we arrived at the babysitter's house at 11pm he was wide awake! He fell asleep on the way home and finally went to bed after we got home. I think he is exhausted from this week because he is on his third nap of the day. I am a little tired too! We are just thankful he isn't sick because most of the kids at his daycare have been.

George Strait & Reba

Thursday night Jason & I went to St. Louis to see GEORGE STRAIT in concert!!! It was A-MAZING!! LeeAnn Womack started the show and was great. I didn't realize she had so many good songs.

Next came REBA!! She was superb- I love her songs and she is quite the entertainer. Barbra Jean (Melissa Peterman) was there and they had a hilarious interaction and then sang the theme song together. She left without singing "Fancy"...what?!? only to come back out in a taxi while the beginning of the "Fancy" music video played. She got out of the cab in a red dress (of course) to finish the show.

After a short break it was finally time for THE KING! He began with "Twang" and put on a great show, singing some great 'oldies' and new songs! We were not disappointed by George, but I was disappointed that I was sooo tired (I guess we are getting old!). We left during what we thought might be the last song. The next morning I found out from a girl I work with he did 3 encores that we missed, one of them being "Folsom Prison Blues"! :( Even though we missed a few songs it was great and we got to see George in concert. The next day at work was a little rough, but we recovered by staying home Friday night.

My pictures were not the greatest...most of them contained random people standing up in front of me or were blurry from movement. I definitely want to invest in a new zoom lens after that night too! :) But here are some pictures from the concert! (not ones I took)

Valentine's Day 2010

Jason & I went out on Saturday afternoon for Valentine's Day and we were able to spend Sunday being lazy at home. Kale played with one of his favorite things being his Tonka truck. He can pull up on it and loved riding on it when I pushed him around the living room.
That night I found Jason & Kale in the dining room making a Valentine for me. I'm not sure how much help Kale was, but he sure was trying. I was told to get out, but I had to get some pictures first!

Bath Time

Kale loves his bath time so it is always fun to let him play in the water and with his bath toys. It is not fun trying to get his diaper & pajamas on him after his bath though. He is a wiggle worm and cannot lay still for anything!

Kale & his bibs

After Kale was born, Jason's mom gave us these bibs from when Jason was a little boy. They have been hanging in the closet since then because they were big. Luckily, a couple of weekends ago I pulled them out and tried them on Kale. As you can see they fit him perfect and if we had waited much longer Kale might have grown right past them. Jason said they made him look even ornerier than usual. I took lots of pictures so here are a few to share...
